Beaming bride and gorgeous groom: such a delightful couple.

It is with great pleasure that Mercury’s Motivators Toastmasters would like to announce the marriage of our Lieutenant Governor Education Ian Pinker DTM to the distinguished toastmaster Penne Bowles.

On the day, bride Iana was resplendent making her entrance to an impromptu choir of members and guests singing the almost traditional “Here comes the bride fair, hirsute and wide”. The beaming groom and guests were assembled on the deck of Beerwah RSL an appropriate venue for such a solemn occasion.

The formality was softened by the bare feet and bohemian appearance of the flower girl John Sells DTM – a beautiful young lady.

The ceremony was performed with dignity by Barrie Richardson DTM, the rings were exchanged and it was time for the speeches to begin. The official MC was Fran Kay DTM who presided over the toasts and roasts. The ceremony concluded with the bride throwing her garter into the crowd who were strangely reluctant to grab it.

Mercury’s Motivators is an advanced club that meets on the Sunshine Coast at various venues. The membership requirement is to have a CC or CL.  A willingness to try new ways and have fun is also a common characteristic of the membership. The club welcomes visitors and guests.
