District 69 Member Benjamin McCormick has been elected to the Board of Directors of Toastmasters International. McCormick was elected to the 2022–2024 two-year term at the organisation’s 2022 International Convention, held in Nashville, Aug. 17-20.
As a member of the Toastmasters International Board of Directors, McCormick is a ‘working ambassador’ for the organisation. He works with the Board to develop and support the policies and procedures that guide Toastmasters International in fulfilling its mission.
A Toastmaster since 2010, McCormick is a member of Ipswich Toastmasters. He has held a number of high-profile leadership positions within the organisation.
Reflecting on his involvement in Toastmasters, McCormick says, “Improving your ability to provide feedback in a helpful, practical manner can benefit someone regardless of where they are in life. To have a space where you can grow and develop how, when, and where you give feedback is applicable to anyone, and valuable to everyone.”
